Fundamentals II continues the work in Fundamentals I – finding context and subtext, agreement, raising the stakes, and introduces the idea a character and developing your own voice. What are your experiences, biases, expertise, etc. We look at such things as status, point of view, emotional life, wants and needs. We look at playing characters that agree with your point of view, and those that don’t. We look at how engaging in ‘good natured misbehaviour’ can develop your breadth and empathy as an artist and human being.
