We do stupid good

Four veteran improvisers. No sensible plan.

Kerry Griffin, Ralph MacLeod, Gord Oxley, and Marcel St. Pierre are four well-meaning primates with decades of Toronto comedy experience. Every month they invite new guests, take the audience’s suggestions, and build a show that can only happen once.

Like a room full of Alan Aldas.

Watch the show

See how stupid good works.

This March 2022 performance is a useful glimpse into the show’s pace: veteran players committing hard, following the fun, and turning a suggestion into something nobody could have planned.

The Coincidence Men

Over two centuries or so of collective comedy experience.

Now watch what they can do without a script.

Four performers with serious screen, stage, writing, and directing experience walk into a room with no plan. That is the point.

01

Ralph MacLeod

Actor · Director · Theatre maker

Ralph has appeared in dozens of television shows and commercials, including Extreme Babysitting, Canada: The Story of Us, Paranormal Witness, Fear Thy Neighbor, and Undercover High, which was nominated for an International Kids Emmy Award.

He has also created, directed, written, produced, or starred in hundreds of live shows. That experience shows up in the room: he knows how to shape a night, hold an audience, and make a scene land.

02

Kerry Griffin

Screen actor · Second City alumnus

Kerry's television credits include Schitt's Creek, The Expanse, Designated Survivor, Murdoch Mysteries, Covert Affairs, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Baroness Von Sketch Show. He has also appeared in more than 100 television and radio commercials.

Add two award-winning Second City revues and 10 Canadian Comedy Awards, and you get a performer with camera-ready timing, sharp character instincts, and the confidence to take a live moment anywhere.

03

Marcel St. Pierre

Actor · Writer · Canadian comedy veteran

Marcel has performed across North America with Second City and Monkey Toast, with screen appearances in Kids in the Hall, Air Farce, The Rick Mercer Report, and Designated Survivor.

He brings the kind of character work and commitment that makes a strange idea feel completely real. You may recognize the credits. On this stage, you get to watch the decisions happen in real time.

04

Gord Oxley

Performer · Sketch writer · Voice talent

Gord formed one half of the Gemini Award-nominated comedy duo Fast & Dirty. His work has appeared on CBC Television, CBC Radio, CTV, The Dr. Demento Show, and stages across Toronto and beyond.

That mix of writing, broadcast, and live performance gives him an ear for the line that turns a scene. Expect dry precision, committed characters, and jokes that arrive from an angle you did not see coming.
