Toronto Cold Reads (TCR) is a cold reading series that incubates new work written by professional (and emerging) film, television and theatre writers in Toronto. At TCR events, portions of scripts are read by professional actors before a live audience.
Writer’s scripts are submitted beforehand, selected based on merit, and then scheduled for an upcoming Sunday.
Actors arrive at 7pm on Sunday and are assigned roles. They only have the chance to read through it once before SHOW TIME at 8:00pm!
