Comedy Nuggets presents The Political Comedy Show – Roast Them All.
The show will roast politicians for the inane things they do. The show
will roast politicians in all levels of politics – local, provincial,
national, and international.

There will be stand-up and improv. The stand-ups will write all new
material with a focus on roasting politicians in one of the level of
politics. Improvisors will create a longform set inspired by stories
pulled from the headlines.

Who’s getting roasted?
o Adam Vaughn, MP for Spadina-Fort York
o Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario
o Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada
o Jody Wilson-Raybould, MP for Vancouver Granville
o Kim Jong-un, Supreme Leader of North Korea

There will be an improvised portion of the show that will put a
satirical spin on current political news stories.

Political news stories will be selected prior to the show and during
the show the cast will randomly choose these stories to inspire their
improvised scenes.

The September 5 show has a great cast which includes – stand-up from
Patrick Fishman, Sarah Ashby, Edworld B. Kim, and Peter Fraser, as
well improv from Dana Schiemann, Carmine Lucarelli, Janet Davidson,
and Luke Lynndale.

Here is a little about each of the performers in the show.

Edworld has been doing stand-up comedy to bring happiness to people
and to make them stick together. His jokes are universal,
multi-cultural, and common daily things that you can enjoy regardless
of ethnicity. He never stops moving, and his audiences always expect
huge amounts of fun, inventiveness and freshness from him.

Patrick is an up and coming comic based out of Toronto. His style has
been described as a “old-people friendly” by his father, who sometimes
has a hard time hearing other comics clearly. When he’s not doing
comedy, Patrick likes eating fried chicken in bed. He was also named
the winner of the Underground Cafe’s Amateur Comedy Contest in 2017,
which was pretty swell for him.

What do you get when you put Regina George’s mean spirit into Garth
from Wayne’s World’s body? Why you get Sarah Ashby! This 5 time Roast
Battle Champion has been performing all around Southern Ontario and
has appeared in multiple festivals including the Brantford Comedy
Festival, the 420 Comedy Festival and the United Comedy Festival. This
cohost and coproducer of Comedy Mixtape, a musical comedy show that
runs at Comedy Bar, also performs in Drag as Nik Sparxxx! Check them

Peter’s search for a generous yet ultimately disinterested patron to
sate the rapacious hunger of his comedic self-indulgence has taken him
to the Brantford Comedy Festival, the Thunder Bay Comedy Festival,
Laugh Sabbath, and even made him a champion of Clash of the Comics,
but has proven a bitter, fruitless endeavour thus far.

Janet Davidson is a teacher with the Second City Training Centre, as
well as an actress, improviser and writer. She has been featured in
such improv shows as Welcome to Town, Hip Waiters and The Bench. With
the Impatient Theatre Co., Janet was a member of WDWMKR, an all female
improv troupe, which has performed in such North American improv
festivals as: DSI North Carolina, DCM New York City, the Chicago
Improv Festival, TIIF and the Ottawa Improv Festival.

Dana is an actor, singer and improv and sketch comedian currently
residing in Toronto. Dana is a Conservatory graduate, was a part of
Second City’s House Co, performed in four Second City Writing Shows
and was nominated for the Tim Sim’s Award. Recent credits include
Lettterkenny (Crave), Miss Elizabeth (Vice), Bizarre Murders
(Investigation Discovery) and Massive Monster Mayhem (Nickelodeon).
Dana recently returned to Canada after performing improv comedy
(BeerProv At Sea) aboard the MSC Seaside. When she’s not improvising
or schmacting, you can catch Dana singing and playing keytar with her

Carmine has spent the better part of 20 years performing and
improvising, winning several Canadian Comedy Awards as part of
ensemble casts. When not making up his own words he interprets those
of others as an actor, most recently in theatrical productions of
Hedda Gabler and Julius Caesar and television programs like The
Girlfriend Experience and Working the Engels. He has directed
everything from traffic to romantic comedies to sketch and improv
troupes. He writes his bio in the third person.

Luke is a Toronto-based comedian performing stand-up, improv and
sketch. He has performed stand-up in Comedy Brawl (2017, 2018),
Comedian of the North (2019), the Boston Improv Festival (2018),
Nestival Festival (2019, Columbus) Big City Improv Festival (Toronto,
2013, 2017), World’s Biggest Improv Festival (Toronto, 2016, 2017,
2018), and Best of Toronto Sketch (2018). He is founding member of DUO
DAD (2013-present).
