Comedy Nuggets presents Norman’s Midnight Train, which is a show part stand-up and part improv. Some of Toronto’s best up-and-coming stand-up comedians perform. Also, there will be an “long-form” improvised portion where 86 year-old Australian comedian, Norman Ryan, tells personal stories that provide the inspiration for the resulting scenes by that night’s cast.

This show is to celebrate Norman Ryan’s 86th birthday. Matt Folliott will interview Norman who will undoubtedly share stories from his life, including his days as a door-to-door salesman in Australia when TV’s were first in the market, his time working in a chicken slaughter house in New Zealand, and his experiences immigrating to Canada with $50 in his pocket and earning two bachelors degrees, two master degrees and a Ph.D. in Engineering all through part-time studies when he started his journey in Canada with a 7th grade education. He is now an improvisor in this last chapter and is thriving.

The improvisors performing in the show are –
Matt Folliott
Lancy Byrd
Dana Schiemann
Brie Watson
Chelsea Larkin

And there will be Norman’s favourite stand-up comedians –
Brandon Henderson
Jennifer Hsiung
Jordan Trafford
Michael Moses
Angela Maiorano-Thurston
